VidiChannel OperationA CD-based VidiChannel comes bundled with each brochure or inside of the printed magazine. The user inserts the disc into the computer and is instantly greeted with an opening animation (live video) which follows with the current “attract loop”. The main loop plays until the user selects an option from the main menu.
Accessing the VidiChannel with the CD-ROM removedAfter the first viewing of the content the user will have an icon that appears on their desktop labeled “VidiTravel™”. Subsequent viewing of the material does not require the CD to be present in the computer. Further updates to the viewers VidiChannel are possible via the Internet over 56K modem.
3rd Party Walkthrough - Travel Agent ModeIn the 3rd Party Mode we assume that a travel agent is doing “most of the talking” and the presentation becomes more of a tool. It provides the agent with live event coverage, views of the city, pricing information, maps, transportation options, on-the-street commentaries and testimonial stories.
