VidiTravel is a division of the VidiChannel Publishing Group. The company develops and produces custom-designed products and solutions for the Travel industry using the core technolgy of the VidiChannel content distribution and playback system.

VidiTravel™ Overview

VidiTravel™ provides viewers with a chance to virtually “visit” and preview exciting travel destinations via interactive content – video, graphics, audio and text. VidiTravel™ uses the VidiChannel™ presentation system that integrates TV-quality video with the Internet. The user can select from a number of different options with the click of a button. The viewer can:

    • learn about the area,
    • see the attractions,
    • meet the people
    • learn about area activities ,
    • profile restaurants,
    • check out nearby attractions,
    • explore the nightlife,


    The content is presented by a spokesmodel who introduces you to the fun highlights and interesting nuances that make each city unique. Additionally, interesting interviews with actual visitors enhance the presentation further, providing individualized points of view – tourist, business person, club-hopper, socialite, shopper, sightseer, etc.

VidiTravel™ provides an exciting marketing medium, unified brand presence and instant e-commerce system for the aggregated entities.

The VidiTravel™ VidiChannel is much more than a 30 second commercial. It is a full-featured interactive presentation that will provide:

Attraction Preview:

Each attraction will have its own profile that the user can preview with live video, graphics and text and then instantly reserve their choices on an interactive calendar. For example in Branson each of the 60 shows will have a profile that includes:

  • Show Highlight Reel
  • Spokesperson Walkthrough
  • Music Samples from the show
  • Ticket Booking
  • Special Offers
  • VIP Packagees

VidiChannel Operation

A CD-based VidiChannel comes bundled with each brochure or inside of the printed magazine. The user inserts the disc into the computer and is instantly greeted with an opening animation (live video) which follows with the current “attract loop”. The main loop plays until the user selects an option from the main menu.

Accessing the VidiChannel with the CD-ROM removed

After the first viewing of the content the user will have an icon that appears on their desktop labeled “VidiTravel™”. Subsequent viewing of the material does not require the CD to be present in the computer. Further updates to the viewers VidiChannel are possible via the Internet over 56K modem.

3rd Party Walkthrough - Travel Agent Mode

In the 3rd Party Mode we assume that a travel agent is doing “most of the talking” and the presentation becomes more of a tool. It provides the agent with live event coverage, views of the city, pricing information, maps, transportation options, on-the-street commentaries and testimonial stories.
