The terms of the tours you book with us — package tours and day tours.
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This page sets out the travel contract (package tour contract) that applies to the tours you buy from Vidi Travel. When you book, these terms are shown on your booking page together with a pre-information form filled in with your booking; the contract is made when you read and accept them, and the text you accepted is kept with your booking.
Organiser: VIDI TRAVEL TURIZM HIZMETLERI LTD. STI. ("Vidi Travel") · Aksaray Mah. Cakiraga Camii Araligi Sk. No: 8/B D:11, 34096 Fatih / Istanbul · Telephone: +90 546 296 33 22 · E-mail: info@viditravel.com · TÜRSAB licence no.: 17730
Participant: the consumer who buys the tour, whose name and contact details are in the pre-information form, and the travelers named on the booking. A person who also books for others undertakes to make this contract known to them.
Pre-information form: the document drawn up when booking that shows the tour, the dates, the travelers, the total price including taxes, the payment plan and the cancellation fees. The pre-information form and the programme on the tour page and in the offer are integral parts of this contract.
This contract covers the tours and services in the pre-information form, organised by Vidi Travel as set out in their programme, and the participant's payment for them.
A tour that combines at least two of transport, accommodation and other tourism services for one price and lasts more than 24 hours or includes an overnight stay is a package tour; package tours are governed by the Turkish Consumer Protection Law no. 6502 and the Package Tour Contracts Regulation. Day tours and services sold on their own are governed by Law no. 6502 and the Distance Contracts Regulation. Where the rules for package tours and day tours differ, the articles below say so.
The route, duration, start and end date and place, type of transport, accommodation and its class, meals, guiding, and what is and is not included are as shown on the tour page, in the offer and in the pre-information form, and they bind Vidi Travel.
The order and times of visits may be adjusted for weather, traffic or the opening hours of the sites, without changing the essence of the tour.
Where the programme includes guiding, it is provided by tourist guides licensed under the Turkish Tourist Guiding Profession Law no. 6326.
No later than 24 hours before the tour starts, the participant is told the meeting point and time, any transfer and accommodation details, and how to reach the person in charge during the tour. This is not repeated if it was given before and has not changed.
The total price includes taxes and is stated in the pre-information form in the currency of the booking. Services not listed as included on the tour page or in the offer (such as personal expenses and optional activities) are not part of the price.
Once the contract is made, the total price is not increased.
To confirm the booking, at least one third (33.33%) of the total price is paid as a deposit; the rest is paid under the payment plan in the pre-information form. The booking is confirmed once the first payment of the plan has reached Vidi Travel's account. Payments are made by the methods offered on the booking page (bank transfer, or credit or debit card).
If a payment in the plan is not made on time, Vidi Travel may cancel the booking after notifying the participant in writing; the rules for a cancellation by the participant (Article 8) then apply.
If, before the tour starts, Vidi Travel has to change an essential part of it — such as the date, the route, the accommodation or its class, or the type of transport — it tells the participant in writing at once. The participant may accept the change, move to an equivalent or better tour if one is available, choose a lesser tour and get the difference back, or withdraw from the contract without paying any compensation. On withdrawal, everything paid is refunded in full, without deduction, within 14 days.
A participant who notices during the tour that something is not as agreed should tell the guide or Vidi Travel without delay; Vidi Travel tries to put it right and, if it cannot, the participant may ask for a price reduction. If a significant part of the services cannot be delivered once the tour has started, Vidi Travel offers a suitable alternative at no extra cost and pays the participant the difference in value.
The participant may cancel the booking at any time before the tour starts, through "Request a cancellation" on the booking page or by writing to info@viditravel.com; the date the notice reaches Vidi Travel counts.
Day tours: a cancellation must be notified at least 1 day (24 hours) before the tour date, and the fee then follows the booking's cancellation policy. A cancellation made on the tour day, or not joining the tour (no-show), is not refunded. As the service is a leisure service provided on a set date, there is no 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 15(1)(g) of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation.
Package tours: a cancellation notified at least 30 days before the tour starts is refunded in full, without any deduction other than taxes and charges required by law. For a later cancellation, only the fee set out in the booking's cancellation policy is deducted.
The cancellation policy (the fee scale) is shown on the tour page, at checkout and in the pre-information form; the policy accepted when booking applies. The cancellation and the amount to be refunded are confirmed to the participant in writing.
Refunds are made within 14 days of the cancellation being confirmed, by the method used to pay: a card payment to the same card, a bank transfer to an account in the name of the person who paid.
The participant may transfer the booking to another person who meets the conditions of the tour, by notifying Vidi Travel in writing at least 7 days before a package tour starts, or at least 24 hours before a day tour. The participant and the person taking over the booking are jointly responsible for any unpaid balance and for the reasonable extra costs of the transfer (such as changing tickets issued in a name); these costs cannot exceed what the transfer actually costs Vidi Travel.
If Vidi Travel cancels the tour for a reason that is not the participant's doing, the participant may move to an equivalent or better tour if one is available, move the tour to another date, or get everything they paid back in full, without deduction, within 14 days.
Where a tour needs a minimum number of participants, the number is stated on the tour page or in the offer. If it is not reached, the cancellation is notified in writing at least 20 days before a package tour starts, and no later than the day before a day tour.
For a package tour cancelled for any reason other than too few participants or force majeure, the participant's statutory rights to compensation are reserved.
Neither party is liable for failing to perform the contract, in part or in full, because of events beyond their control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, strikes, extreme weather, road closures or decisions of the authorities. If the tour cannot take place at all for such a reason, everything the participant paid is refunded or, if the participant prefers, the tour is moved to another date; if part of it cannot take place, the price of the services not delivered is refunded. In such cases Vidi Travel helps any participant in difficulty without delay.
The passenger vehicles used on the tours carry the compulsory seat personal accident insurance required for road passenger transport in Türkiye.
Travel health insurance and cancellation insurance are not included in the price unless the tour programme lists them as included; we recommend that participants take them out.
Vidi Travel, as data controller, processes the personal data of the participant and the travelers under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698 (KVKK) to make and deliver the booking, handle payments and refunds, meet legal obligations and stay in touch with the participant. The data is shared only as far as these purposes need, with the hotels, transport and guiding providers delivering the services, with banks and, on request, with the competent authorities. Passport numbers are stored encrypted; card details are not stored. Details are in the Privacy Policy: https://www.viditravel.com/privacy
The participant can bring any complaint or request about the services to Vidi Travel first (+90 546 296 33 22 · info@viditravel.com); it is answered in writing as soon as possible.
In a dispute, the participant may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee where they live or where the service was bought, within the monetary limits set each year by the Turkish Ministry of Trade; above those limits, to the Consumer Court, after the mediation the law requires first. This contract is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
The contract is made when the participant accepts the pre-information form and this contract on the booking page. The accepted text is stored with the booking; the participant can view and print it on the booking page at any time. By accepting, the participant confirms having read the pre-information form before making the contract.
Later changes to these terms do not affect contracts already made.
